As is the case every year, Syrena will be performing at all three days of Polish Fest.  Click here for the entertainment schedule.

These baskets were all hand-made by one of our members, Marcin Polewski.  Furthermore, all of the eggs were decorated and dyed by our members!

Basket (no eggs): $50 including shipping

Basket with 6 wax decorated eggs (Pisanki):  $60, delivered within Milwaukee.  Baskets with eggs cannot be shipped.

Payment method: PayPal.  We’ll send you an invoice via PayPal after arranging the sale.

Come see Syrena at Polish Fest 2017!

Syrena will be performing all three days of this weekend’s Polish Fest!  Here is our schedule:

Friday

5:30-6:00, Folk Stage
Syrena and Syrenka Children

Saturday

2:00-3:00, Cultural Stage
Syrena, Syrenka Youth, and Syrenka Children

4:00-4:30, Folk Stage
Syrena and Syrenka Children

6:00, Cultural Stage
PDFAA Gala!  This show is fairly long, around two hours.  We have the last spot.

Sunday

1:00-2:00, Cultural Stage
Syrena, Syrenka Youth, and Syrenka Children

 

Of special note this year is the debut of our new suite of dances, “Journey to Spisz”.  It is an illustration the melting pot of cultures that is the region of Spisz.  It combines dances from Hungary, Slovakia, as well as Poland.  It is not to be missed!

Dożynki is Approaching!

Syrena’s 2016 Dożynki event is coming in October!  What is Dożynki?  In brief, it is a harvest festival celebrated by Slavic cultures, Polish included.  Our event features a traditional procession, a meal, band, and of course dancing by Syrena.

The event will be held on October 8th, 2016 at the Blessed Sacrament Church hall.  Everyone is welcome to attend Mass at 4:30 while doors for the event open at 5:30.
